Selepri's Story
Selepri Amachree is the founder of the Xtreme Intervention Project. He has been drug & alcohol-free since February of 2000! (That's 23 years if you're doing the math!) He spent 12 years in active addiction to alcohol, cocaine, and opioids. He says, "I can understand most people's struggle, but what I need, is to hear their story".
Selepri went through seven different short-term treatment facilities with no hope of achieving long-term sobriety. His addiction brought homelessness and serious legal problems into his life, but it was that path which led him to a long-term, faith-based program that changed his life. He founded the Xtreme Intervention Project in April of 2006, wrote the Samaritan Intervention Model in 2010, and he stands by his belief that, "By the grace of God, everyone is capable of recovery and there are great rewards that come with that long-term commitment". His wife Danyelle, their kids, his music, and the Xtreme Intervention Project are great examples of the blessings and rewards of his commitment to long-term recovery and restoration.
Selepri's 23 year journey in long-term recovery and restoration includes 17 years of experience as the founder and CEO of the Xtreme Intervention Project. As a leader in his profession, he has guided hundreds of people out of destructive, addictive lifestyles and into lifesaving programs that address the physical, spiritual, mental, vocational, and educational aspects of healing from substance abuse disorders and other life-controlling addictions.
"The simple truth is that I want to see success for everyone, but not everyone can see success for themselves. We have to cut through the fog created by the deception of addiction, so people can begin to get clarity on their path to success." ~Selepri
"All I Need"-The new single
Selepri's new single, "All I Need" expresses his emotional and spiritual struggle with substance abuse and his profound gratitude for recovery, redemption, and God's grace. "Addiction can cast a shadow so formidable that it becomes an all-consuming force, stripping away our essence and leaving us trapped with in it." This is the first release from a project that hopes to inspire and encourage others that are currently walking that dark path of addiction, or experiencing a similar battle.
"Nothing speaks into the mindset of addiction like the raw authenticity of someone who has not only experienced the despair, hopelessness, and fear of that condition, but now also lives in the hope and triumph that accompanies the transformation, resilience, and growth found in the human capacity for recovery and spiritual redemption." - Selepri
The new single features three well known musicians from some of rock & roll's most legendary bands and has already been downloaded or streamed in more than 25 countries!! Check it out and be encouraged!!
